As a Sales Support Officer, you proactively provide operational and organizational support to the Area Sales Team, taking ownership to contribute effectively to the sales objectives. You report to the Team Lead Sales Support.
Your responsibilities
You collaborate with Hatchery Design Experts and the Pre-Sales Team to prepare quotations, proactively ensuring their completion within predefined lead times. As the primary support for the Area Sales Team, you work alongside the Area Sales Manager to deliver high-quality quotes to agents and customers.
Amongst other, this means:
- You screen the Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for correctness, completeness and potential add-ons, while developing a strong understanding of specific quote requirements.
- You proactively collaborate with the project planner, using customer history and database insights, to structure the offer package and actively track its progress with the pre-sales engineering teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- You check the coherence of the offer package, ensuring compliance with specifications and lead times, before forwarding it to the Area Sales Manager and/or agent.
- You act as the central point of contact for requests and inquiries from agents.
- You support the Area Sales Manager during customer visits and participate in relevant seminars and exhibitions in the region.
- Once the customer accepts the proposal, you prepare the Order Confirmation (OC) in consultation with Master planning/Finance and draft the sales contract for agents and customers.
- You oversee the follow-up process for signed orders.
Your profile
- You hold at least a bachelor's degree.
- You have a strong affinity for administration and are proficient in MS Office programs (Word and Excel) as well as ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- You are organized, detail-oriented, commercially minded and capable of performing well under pressure.
- You are a team player: communicative, proactive and highly engaged.
- You take initiative and approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset.
- You are eager to learn about our products and the workings of hatcheries to better understand the complexity of our quotations.
- You are fluent in English, and proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
