As the person in charge of our Electricity-Electronics production department, you are responsible for coordinating the daily activities on the shop floor. You ensure the smooth operation of the production process and daily planning within the predefined targets and quality standards. You report to the Production Manager.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the daily organization of the production process, for example by efficiently scheduling operators based on the output to be achieved.
- You supervise the use of work equipment to ensure optimal alignment with the production needs and maximum efficiency.
- You monitor quality and make adjustments to achieve the set quality standards.
- You comply with policies to contribute to a safe and appropriate working environment. You coach operators in the use of PPE and encourage safe behaviour in the workplace.
- You intervene in case of quality issues, stock shortages, structural shortages or absences.
- You manage and motivate your team and have targeted discussions to achieve the best result together and strengthen the group atmosphere.
- You communicate with other departments to ensure information is shared, and you train operators to document this information sharing correctly.
- You set priorities and give clear assignments to the maintenance team.
- You keep your professional knowledge and technical skills up-to-date in the context of the production process and installations.
- You make an active contribution to improvements and help foster a culture of continuous optimization.
Your profile
- You have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics and/or electromechanics, or equivalent through experience.
- You have knowledge of and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- You have strong leadership skills and demonstrable experience in a leadership role.
- You have experience with 5S and the lean methodology.
- You like taking the initiative and working systematically and autonomously.
- You are flexible and hands-on.
- You communicate clearly and purposefully.
- You are fluent in Dutch; knowledge of English and/or French is considered a plus.
